When Searching for Resources or Shared Calendars with Outlook Connector, Not All Expected Available Calendars Are Listed (Doc ID 1307666.1)

Last updated on APRIL 25, 2011

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Calendar Server - Version: 6.3 (JCS 6) to 6.3 (JCS 6) - Release: 6.0 to 6.0
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When searching for shared calendars, not all calendars that should show up, appear in the results.

For example:

We currently have a large number of Resource calendars that are owned by the user resourcemaster.  Previously, when we searched for Resources owned by resourcemaster in Outlook Connector (OC), all Resources would all show up. Now, for some reason, only 4-5 of the Resources are being displayed.

The LDIF for the resourcemaster user in the directory server was checked and it was verified that the icsCalendarOwned attribute was present for all of the resource calendars.

No errors are returned; you just don't get the expected results during a search.

The problem can be duplicated with the following steps:

  1. Create 10 calendar resources with the calmaster user as the owner

  2. Issue the following WCAP command and you can see that only 5 calendars are returned:

/search_calprops.wcap?id=${SESSIONID}&search-string=calmaster&maxResults=15&calid=1&name=1&primaryOwner=1&fmt-out=text/calendar

Please see below for a link to the WCAP commands reference.

Changes

The problem is seen with Calendar Server 6.3 and Patch revision -44.
