EDD Plan Not Honoring Item's Lead Time Even When There Is Enough Lead Time Available From The Plan Run Date / Incorrect Lead Time In EDD Plan. (Doc ID 1308731.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 01, 2021

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

On : 12.1.1 version, Constrained planning

There is a item with the below Lead times :
Pre-Processing Lead Time = 2 days
Processing Lead Time = 60 days
Post-Processing Lead Time = 4 days

Customer runs a Plan and the planned order for the Item has the below timelines :
Sugg Due Date = 14-JUN-2011
Sugg Dock Date = 09-JUN-2011 >> Correctly considered 4 days of Post Processing time.
Sugg Start Date = 10-APR-2011 >> The days considered here is only 52 days.. and not 60 days, taking weekends into consideration.
Sugg Order Date = 08-APR-2011 >> Correctly considered 2 days of Pre Processing time.

The Plan run date was 23-MAR, and there is sufficient lead time present as per the customer for this buy item.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect ...
that the Sugg Due date - Sugg Order date = PreProcessing Lead time + Processing Lead time + Post Processing Lead time

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. Navigate to Responsibility > Advanced Supply Chain Planner.
2. Run a ASCP Plan with below plan options :
Plan options : Demand Schedule Items only.
Constrained plan : Enforce Demand Due Dates plan.
3. See the above behavior..

This issue is happening irrespective of the value of the profile option : MSO: Lead time Control
We have tried Both values Violate Min Processing lead time & Do no Violate processing lead time.
The output still has the above discrepancy.
