"Internal Server Error" Occurs Randomly While Creating Allocations

While creating allocation, an "Internal server error" message is displayed with no predictable frequency.
The application log file shows the following error message:

com.retek.platform.exception.RetekNetworkException: Server connection failed and retries were not successful

Steps to recreate

1. Login.
2. Create an allocation.
3. Calculate.
4. Open allocation.
5. Repeat these steps few times.
6. After a while, the "Internal server error" message occurs.
