SCA "Invalid State Machine" Error when Receiving a SIP BYE (Doc ID 1314395.1)

Symptoms


Note:
- SIP stands for Session Initiation Protocol
- SCA stands for SIP Call Agent


  1. The /var/adm/messages or SCA log files write this following error message:
    ERROR: (SIPInteraction.cc:1806) 1500: State machine error; transition: IN_RELEASE_A, state: Closing

  2. Apart of call flow, we can see SIP proxy of A-Leg is flooding with BYEs message to the SCA, in normal circumstances this particular BYE message is only sent once.
