ReSA Batch Requires Non-Merchandise Items to Exist in RMS ITEM_MASTER (Doc ID 1314625.1)

The Oracle Retail Sales Audit (ReSA) batch requires Non-Merchandise Items to exist in the Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS) ITEM_MASTER table.

Planning to use Non-Merch items in ReSA for Gift Card purchase.
It is expected that Non-Merch item numbers can be any number provided and is not checked against ITEM_MASTER.
However, if uploading an RTLOG file with a NMITEM record, the system is raising an error that item does not exist in the system.

Instructions to Re-create:

  1. Create an RTLOG file with a Non-Merchandising item.
  2. Run sagetref process to get all the reference files (which will be used by saimptlogi).
  3. Run saimptlogi process with the RTLOG file.
  4. Query SA_ERROR for the recently created transaction to see the errors.

Record with error_code as NON_MERCH_ITEM_NOT_FOUND gets posted to sa_error table.
