Symptoms

User is unable to Login to Argus Application.

User gets the following error message.



"Error while trying to execute gss package function login (301200390)"

Following error message observed in the SQL Times log file

SQL execution error, ORA-00376: file 10 cannot be read at this time
ORA-01110: data file 10: 'E:\ORACLE\ORADATA\ARGPRD1\ARGUS_DATA_02.DBF'
ORA-06512: at "ARGUS_APP.GSS", line 131
ORA-00376: file 10 cannot be read at this time

 The first step is to run the Argus schema validation and check for invalid objects in the log file. Make sure to compile all the invalid objects. Retest the issue.
 
 The second step is to use, for example, Oracle's DBA Studio tool to shutdown and startup the database. After the database is mounted successfully, but trying to open the database fails, the following error is returned, which indicates that one of its data files is corrupted:
