Error: "PM Database Creation Failed" Received at End of Standalone Install or Error: "Unable to Access Jarfile lib\dbmt.jar" When Launching DBSetup.bat (Doc ID 1318967.1)

Symptoms

SYMPTOM #1

When installing P6 Professional Standalone (r7.0-r8.3), the following error occurs at the end of installation:

ERROR

"PM database creation failed. Please contact Support."

 

SYMPTOM #2

When launching dbsetup.bat to create or upgrade a P6 EPPM or P6 PPM database, the following error occurs:


ERROR

Unable to access jarfile lib\dbmt.jar

(OR)

Fatal exception occurred. Program will exit.

 

SYMPTOM #3

When using the 8.2.8 patchset media (p23752119_8200_Generic.zip) and launching dbsetup.bat to create or upgrade a P6 EPPM or P6 PPM database, the following error occurs:

ERROR

Unable to access jarfile lib\dbmt.jar
