This document explains the "Allow users to enter negative hours" option in the P6 client and Progress Reporter Administration settings, and how it affects users ability to enter negative hours on a timesheet. This helps explain symptoms such as:
- The "Allow users to enter negative hours" is unchecked, yet users can still enter negative hours on a timesheet.
- Users are able to enter negative hours against some activities, but for others they receive an error: "Entering these negative values would cause the total regular hours and the total overtime hours for this activity to fall below zero. Please enter larger regular and overtime values."
