Is It Possble To Not Auto-Populate Contact Date In AERS?

Open New Case screen, the Contact Date is auto-populated.
I would like to know how to make it NOT auto-populated with today's date,
Open New Case screen, click on [More] button next to the Contact Method field, notice the Received Date, is auto-populated with Today's date, I would like to know how to make it NOT auto-populate with today's date,
Changing either of the above fields will change the data of the other field, if it is possible to make either one NOT auto-populated, it is fine.
