Symptoms
Oracle JDBC Driver 11.1.0.7 Memory Leak
In OSM, the extent of the leak depends on the volume and size of orders. For example, the leak was calculated to be about 90MB during a 3-day test on Linux with a moderate volume of large orders. Although the memory leak was fixed in version 11.2.0.2 of the JDBC driver, this version of the driver is not certified for use with OSM and is known to cause even more severe issues, which are under
investigation. Therefore, you are cautioned against using the latest driver version. Instead, it is recommended that you evaluate the leak in your environment with realistic order volumes over a long period and plan accordingly. In summary, Oracle recommends that you use version 11.1.0.7 of the JDBC thin driver and version 11.2.0.1 (11g R2) or 11.1.0.6 (11g R1) of the Oracle Database.
