Calendar Server 7: How to Configure the Calendar Server to Send an ics Invite to Users (Doc ID 1329558.1)

Goal

Is it possible to configure the Calendar Server (Calendar Server 7)  to send an *.ics calendar invitation attachment as part of the message to users?  Otherwise, CalDAV clients, such as Thunderbird with Lightning, will not be able to add an event unless they are going directly through a client such as Convergence.
