Goal

Non-inventory items, such as warranty plans and gift cards, are items that can be sold in a store but do not necessarily have physical inventory.
Does the SIM application support such items ?

The following scenario can be observed:

  1. Pick one item from Retail Merchandising System (RMS) for which INVENTORY_IND in ITEM_MASTER table is set to 'N'.
  2. Do a sale for such an item.
  3. When the sale is loaded in RMS it does not impact the stock on hand (SOH) in ITEM_LOC_SOH table, but the same sale when loaded in SIM reduces the stock on hand in RK_STORE_ITEM_SOH table.
  4. Check and observe that some stores have negative SOH in SIM for that item whereas it is 0 in RMS.
