Product-Type-Branching (PTYB) Feature Node is Not Checking the Exact Product Type Name

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version: 3.1.0 to 4.2.0 - Release: 3.1.0 to 4.2
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Product Type Branching Feature Node is not checking product type ID. But it's checking the product type name as a string. It doesn't also check for exact name match but rather uses "contains" operation.

For example:
  • Create 2 Product Types : "ProductTypeAB" and "ProductTypeABCDEF".
  • Note that the first product type name is a subset of the second product type name.
  • Put a Product Type Branching feature node in a control plan and check for "ProductTypeAB".
  • If the subscriber product type is "ProductTypeABCDEF" it will still match.
