FW: "Unable to initialize JDBC connection" error when starting MPL (Doc ID 1337532.1)

When starting Multipurpose Listener (MPL) the following error message appears in mpl.log:


Wed Jul 06 10:39:59 CDT 2011] Attempting to initialize JDBC connection
 [Wed Jul 06 10:40:29 CDT 2011] Unable to get the Connection from Connections could not be acquired from the
 underlying database!
 [Wed Jul 06 10:40:29 CDT 2011] Unable to initialize JDBC connection
 "DefaultJDBCConnection" : Connections could not be acquired from the
 underlying database!
 com.splwg.mpl.server.jdbc.JDBCConnectionException: Connections could not be
 acquired from the underlying database!

 [Wed Jul 06 10:40:29 CDT 2011] JDBC connections initialization failed. There
 is no available JDBC connection.
