We try to extract statistics from pipelines, but in one case we do not see the logic in the extracted numbers.

Let’s see for example statistics for this two files:

Statistic for a first file provided by pipeline: file_1.txt

For this file, if we count in DONE file all lines starting with 020 (to know how many EDRS where processed) we get the number 37475. If we multiply this number with 2 we get the value provided in a log file. (37475*2 = 74950).
This is what we have expected as the value of EDRs is duplicated and this is from our point of view correct scenario.

For the other file in log file we can find: file_2.txt

When we try to get number of EDRs from DONE file we get the following number: 29943 . If we use the same step as with previous file then we get to number 59886 (29943*2=59886). As you can see there is a difference between value provided by log message and a value calculated from DONE file (59885 vs 59886).

We cannot explain ourself this difference, therefore we want to ask if this behaviour is correct, and if so, what is the logic behind this statistic calculation.
