Goal

**Examples provided in this article do not represent real life personal/confidential information**

**Disclaimer:** This KM article may include the following abbreviations:

CCB - Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing
MDM - Oracle Utilities Meter Data Management
MWM - Oracle Utilities Mobile Workforce Management
UAT - User Acceptance Testing
RAC - Oracle Real Application Clusters
CIS - Customer Information System

The current CIS project requires multiple schemas for each module (CCB, MWM, MDM). It also has multiple non-production environments for different stages (DEMO, DEV, TRAINING, CONERSION, STATGIN, TEST, IST, UAT....).

Can all these non-production database schemas be consolidated in the same database instance, or three database instances (CCB, MWM, MDM), one for each functional module. Rather than 3 application x 10 environments = 30 instances (60 instances for RAC configuration ).
