How to Process EDRs with a Separate ccsCDRLoader (Doc ID 1341073.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 25, 2024

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Network Charging and Control - Version 2.2.0 to 4.2.0 [Release 2.2 to 4.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
From OCNCC 4.3, it an error occurs and EDRs cannot be processed, the application is able to backup the EDRs that have been error'ed and the ccsCDRLoader process will process them afterward.

Goal

ccsCDRLoader first aim is to scan Event Details Record (EDR) files and load them into the CCS_BE_CDR table on the SMS with the plugin libCDRStoreDBPlugin.so. Along with libCDRStoreDBPlugin.so come other plugins used for different actions on the EDRs, for more information, see Doc ID 1175803.1 (ccsCDRLoader Plug-in Definitions and Troubleshooting).

It can sometimes happen due to environmental problem (filesystem full,  database partition issue, ...) that one or several plugin have not performed their action properly which results of some EDR files not processed properly.

This document will guide you to reprocess these EDRs with another ccsCDRLoader process separately from the live production EDRs.
