Failed to Change Status/Audit Release with Application Error in Web Client and Unknown Error in Java Client (Doc ID 1342486.1)

User gets an "Application Error. This feature did not perform as expected" in Web Client and "Unknown Error" in Java Client when moving a Change status


1.Log into Web Client
2.Open Change
3.Try to move change's status to next
4.Get "Application Error"
5.Do same in Java Client, get "Unknown Error"

No error in Agile server log
Error trace in Java console:
at com.agile.pc.cmserver.base.RedlineServiceTable.rowActive(
at com.agile.pc.cmserver.change.ChangeServiceAI.checkReleasedChildren(
at com.agile.pc.cmserver.change.ChangeService.additionalAuditCheck(
at com.agile.pc.cmserver.base.BaseServiceRoute.doAuditStatus(
at com.agile.pc.cmserver.base.BaseServiceRoute.doAuditCurrentStatus(
at com.agile.pc.cmserver.base.BaseServiceRoute.auditCurrentStatus(
at com.agile.pc.cmserver.base.CMRouteSessionBean.preAuditStatus(
at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) 

Also can happen with Audit Release or attempting to change status to Release.
In this case, Application Error happens on Web Client, and can see below stack trace in application server log:
