Mrp:Requisition Load Group Option = Location Is Not Working As Expected In Regular MRP (Doc ID 1347369.1)

Last updated on JUNE 28, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Materials Requirement Planning - Version 11.5.9 to 12.2 [Release 11.5 to 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In Material Requirements Planning on a 12.0.6 Instance

ACTUAL BEHAVIOR
---------------
With the the profile option "MRP:Requisition Load Group Option" set to "Location", when releasing multiple Planned Orders from the MRP Planners Workbench, we are unable to group the multiple releases into one Purchase Requisition by Location.

It appears that an additional grouping by item occurs.  For example, if we release 20 lines as Purchase Requisitions from the workbench for 5 different items that have the same org/source org combination, it will create 5 Purchase Requisitions (one for each item), instead of 1 PR as expected.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR
-----------------------
Expect to be able to group the multiple Planned Order releases into one Purchase Requisition by Location.

STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

1. Set the profile option, MRP:Requisition Load Group Option = Location
2. Run MRP and then select and save multiple planned orders for release.
3. Click release button once on the workbench. Thus all selected planned orders are released.
4. The requisitions are not grouped by location as expected.

In MRP, is there a way to group released Planned Orders by Location?
