Symptoms
On Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications Infrastructure (OFSAAI) 7.2.8 when attempting to apply the 7.2.9 patch: <Patch:12666342>, the following error occurs:

Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: PRECheck

at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:306)

at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(ClassLoader.java:247)
Could not find the main class: PRECheck. Program will exit.
The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:
1. All the instructions were followed as per the document in the zip file including copying some files in binary mode and some in text mode.
2. Grant full access to all the file in the directory as well, e.g chmod 777 *.*
