Planned Order Supply Of Firm Work Order Demand Scheduled In 1st Bucket, But Not When Needed (Doc ID 1350180.1)

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

ASCP Planned orders for an intermediate are planned early in 12.1.3, whereas they were planned just in time in 12.06.
The requirement for this resource is to be planned in weekly buckets in a plan that also needs some resources to be planned in daily buckets and hence the plan option is set up to plan in daily buckets.

For these resources that are needed to be planned in weekly buckets this was emulated in 12.06 by having no availability in the week and all aggregated on a weekend day.

With a parent works order (existing OPM Batch) firmed and due to start within the week in 12.06 the ASCP planned order for the intermediate was planned just in time to meet the requirement of the firm parent works order.

In 12.1.3 these ASCP planned orders are scheduled early, and appear to be at the start date of planning

1. Have a resource(s) that needs to be planned in weekly buckets in a plan that needs to be set up to plan in daily buckets. Aggregate all the resource availability for the weekly bucketed resource to be on one weekend day.
2. Have a firmed OPM Parent Batch calling for the intermediate (using the resource from 1) above) during the week
3. Run the ASCP Collection and plan
4. View the results in ASCP and see that the planned orders for the intermediate are early and not just in time as per 12.06
