System should have functionality to model bay and racks with horizontal, vertical mount points and empty shelves. System should be able to validate while installing chassis at particular shelf based configured business rules.

Say for Example,
The customer has requirement to model the number of racks, installed in the room. There is a need to identify the racks with unique Rack IDs. Each rack should have a standard Rack Unit. Requirement expects UIM to display the data of how many rack units are consumed for particular equipment, installed on the racks.

This is possible only when UIM support unique Bay/Rack Numbering along with number of rack units as characteristics of them. e.g. Bay can support Min =1 to Max = N number of Racks and each rack can support Rack Unit Min = 1 to Max = N, where N can be any number as per customer installation capacity.
