Error in Event Viewer on the Web Server: File /CaseForm/AddlInfo/CF_AttachmentDone.asp Unexpected Error (Doc ID 1353310.1)

Symptoms

IIS Service is going in to hung state when attaching attachments to cases in Argus Safety.

As a result, users who are logged on to the affected server experience poor performance and those who are trying to log in are unable to do so and receive - 'Cannot Load Log in Page' error or 'Server object error ASP 0178 : 80070005' error.

It is intermittent issue and cannot be repeatable on demand.

The following errors observed in the event viewer log when the issue
happened:

1. First Error:

Type: Error, Event Id: 5

Computer: <Web Server Name>
Error: File/Bookin/ProcessBookin.ASP. Unexpected error. A trappable
error(C0000005) occurred in an external object. The script cannot continue
running.

 

2. Second Error:

Source: Active Server PAges
Type: Error, Event Id: 5
User: N/A
Computer: <Web Server Name>
Description: Error: Script Engine Exception. A ScriptEngine threw exception
'C0000005' in IScriptDispatchEx.Release()* from
'CscriptingNamespace:UnInt()'

 

3. Third Error:

Active Server PAges
Type: Error, Event Id: 26
User: N/A
Computer: <Web Server Name>
Description: Error: Application popup: w3wp.exe - Application error: The
instruction at "ox77bc6176" referenced memory at "0x000000000". the memory
could not be "read"

Click on OK to terminate the program
Click on CANCEL to debug the program

 


4. Fourth Error:

Description: Error: File /CaseForm/AddlInfo/CF_AttachmentDone.asp Unexpected
error. A trappable error (C0000005) occurred in an external object. The
