Oracle Communications Configuration Manager imports and archives configuration information for a set of devices through information made available in Oracle Communications IP Service Activator (IPSA), which manages the devices. Changes to the device made in IPSA will be reflected in stored archives, visible in Configuration Manager. However, the device name is a critical key in differentiating one device from another. In cases where the device name is changed in IPSA, a certain process should be followed to allow the change to be reflected properly in Configuration Manager.
