Applies to:Oracle Agile PLM MCAD Connector - Version 3.0.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.
In a secure production environment, it is often required that all connections from end user's client machines to the application server by encrypted. In test environments, it is common practice to use self signed SSL certificates instead of certificates purchased from a 3rd party trusted vendor.
Besides adding the Certificate Authority certificates to the browser for the WebClient, one also needs to add the same to the Java runtime of the Engineering Collaboration client on the CAD workstation. This note presents the procedure for performing the necessary steps for Engineering Collaboration client to connect over SSL encrypted protocol.
