The example in this document is for FW based product CC&B (Customer Care and Billing) V2.3.1. However, the instructions can help customers installing different versions of CC&B as well as other FW based products (ETPM, BI, and RMB) understand how to perform a demo install.


Question:

After building our CCB 2.3.1 database as a demo database, then patching it forward to SP1, the SP1 demo data did not exist in the database. We were pointed to an adhoc patch 11722753 which does contain SP1 demo data, but this patch would not apply cleanly unless we ran it in 'install' mode, which nukes the existing database and re-creates it.

We are looking for a clear, concise set of instructions for patching a CCB 2.3.1 database up to Service Pack 2 in such a manner that all pertinent DEMO data resides in the database, without nuking all previously installed patches or data.
