PCG 7.3.x: Error 'PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target' On Running Any GRC Report (Doc ID 1360425.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to run any GRC report for example " Report - GRC Controls Oracle Audit" , it completes with the following error.

Report Log Error:

Beginning post-processing of request 27001984 on node anbsdevl at 01-AUG-2011 15:16:09.
Post-processing of request 27001984 failed at 01-AUG-2011 15:16:10 with the error message:
One or more post-processing actions failed. Consult the OPP service log for details.

Not printing the output of this request because post-processing failed.

OPP Log Error:

[UNEXPECTED] [772607:RT29818241] javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Caused by: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

Steps:

The issue can be reproduced at will with the following steps:

  1.  In Oracle E-Business Suite, GRC Controls responsibility, navigate to View - Requests.
  2.  In Submit Single Request, select " Report - GRC Controls Oracle Audit" and enter all parameters as needed.
  3. Submit the request and view the log.

Business Impact:

The issue has the following business impact:
Due to this issue, users cannot run any GRC Report.
