There are two issues noted related to Value Added Tax (VAT) Code maintenance.  For the first issue, when deleting a VAT code, the system throws an Oracle error instead of system defined error.  For the second issue, a VAT rate cannot be deleted, but the corresponding VAT code can be deleted.

Steps to Recreate:

Issue 1:
  1. Log in to RMS.
  2. Navigate to Control -> Setup -> VAT Codes Maintenance -> Edit.
  3. Try to delete a VAT Code that is associated to an item.
Expected: You should get an error stating that you are unable to delete, since the VAT code is in use.
Actual: A forms error is appearing.

Issue 2:
  1. Log in to RMS.
  2. Navigate to Control -> Setup -> VAT Codes Maintenance -> Edit.
  3. Create a VAT Code and attach VAT Rate with active date as VDATE.
  4. Save the Code.
  5. Edit the VAT Code.
  6. Navigate to Rates section and try to delete.
  7. Note that you are given a hard stop error, saying that the active date is effective and you cannot delete.
  8. Navigate back to VAT Code window and try to delete.
Expected: VAT Code should not be deleted, since the VAT Rate cannot be deleted.
