The beClient Process Reports "ERROR: Asked to send message to unknown BE ID 0" (Doc ID 1364758.1)

A message similar to the one below is logged on the Service Logic Controller (SLC) in the syslog (usually /var/adm/messages) :

Oct  5 09:02:42 slc-01 BeClient: [ID 675952 user.error] BeClient(16213) ERROR: Asked to send message to unknown BE ID 0.

The error is also reported in the beClient process' log file, usually located in /IN/service_packages/E2BE/tmp .


A recent upgrade of the BE application software level can cause this error message to appear.

The bug appears in BE version

to determine your BE software version, the following command can be run on the Voucher and Wallet Server (VWS) :

# pkginfo | grep "for BE"
