Applies to:
Oracle Clinical - Version 4.5.3 and laterInformation in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
You upgraded to 4.5.3.27 and ran the data migration script included in 4.5.3.11 for the first time. You are wondering about the column "Changed By" in the report called "Verification and Approval History Report for Study" is referring to.
The following describes different elements in the report.

Viewing New History Records Resulting from Upgrading
By upgrading to patches 4.5.3.11 and 4.5.3.12, Oracle Clinical migrates data so that approvals and verifications for all existing data is represented using new record types. If data migration determines that the CRF requires re-approval or re-verification, the new record includes the following information:
■ The date and time of the verification or approval status change
■ The Operation type: CRF Update
■ The userid of the person initiating the change
■ A comment. The comment is in the following format:
Post-action CRF update(s) recorded during system upgrade. CRF requires re-action. Actual CRF update occurred between the last approval time and the system upgrade time.
Where: action is either Verification or Approval.
For example, this is a comment for a verification reversal that occurred during upgrade:
Post-verification CRF update(s) recorded during system upgrade. CRF requires re-verification. CRF update occurred between the last approval time and the system upgrade time.
(The link to the above-referenced document can be found in following My Oracle Support note:
Oracle Clinical 4.5.3.11 and 4.5.3.12 Approvals and Verifications Supplement (Doc ID 730467.1).)
You note the comment when you run your report shows
"Post-verification CRF update(s) recorded during system upgrade. CRF requires re-verification. CRF update occurred between the last verification time and the system upgrade time"
It is difficult to correlate the user to the reverification. Since the upgrade script is what changed the approval one would have expected the ‘Changed By’ column to correlate with the user who launched the migration script. However, this is not the case. The names listed under ‘Changed By’ are sometimes users at sites, and sometimes internal users.
What determines the value for the column ‘Changed By’ and which is described as "The userid of the person initiating the change"?
