Purpose

This will add some clarification about the use of the forms for Item Reclassification as apposed to Pending Merchandise Hierarchy in Oracle Retail Merchandising System (RMS).  The following observations and scenario is addressed:

Looking for a way to create a merchandise reclassification in RMS without specifying an item or item list. Noting that menu option Pending Merchandise Hierarchy only allows for View/Edit.
It was expected that the Pending Merchandise Hierarchy menu options would provide an avenue for this.

Example:
Current Data Before Reclass:
DEP 1000 -- CLASS 1000 -- SUBCLASS 1000
DEP 2000 -- CLASS 2000 -- SUBCLASS 2000

Is there a way in RMS to reclass CLASS 1000 to DEP 2000?
Wanting to reclass the entire CLASS and its subclasses and not only items within the class.

After reclass, here is the expected result:
DEP 1000
DEP 2000 -- CLASS 2000 -- SUBCLASS 2000
DEP 2000 -- CLASS 1000 -- SUBCLASS 1000
