Can No Longer Edit Scenarios in the ACC Because Process Editor Server Instance Does not Assume its Role (Doc ID 1369731.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 13, 2015

Applies to:

Oracle ATG Web Commerce - Version 2006.3 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Existing scenarios are no longer editable in the ACC and new scenarios cannot be created since the New Scenario button is greyed out. New scenario definitions and changes to existing scenarios are not picked up.

If none of the server instances is designated as the PES, then the scenarios found in the CONFIGPATH in the form of SDL files will not be parsed and added as repository items in the ProfileAdapterRepository. If  scenarios are not parsed, they will not be usable by the system until this step has been performed. Only after parsing can the site instances make use of the scenarios.

If the parsing is not occurring, then there will be no rows in the database table DSS_SCENARIO_INFO in the cluster's shared database schema.
