Internal Sales Orders Are Missing And Thus Not Showing Up As Demand In ASCP When Plan Options Only Include Single ISO Organization (Doc ID 1375032.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 19, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Advanced Supply Chain Planning - Version 12.1.3 to 12.1.3 [Release 12.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Form:MSCFNSCW.FMB - Planner Workbench

Users are on code and running unconstrained plans. They do use internal requisitions (IR's) and Internal Sales Orders (ISO's) between internal organizations. However if they run an ASCP plan with only the ISO organization in the plan options and Include Sales Orders enabled, the ISO sales order does not show up as demand in the ASCP workbench. If they include both the demand and supply (ISO org) in the same plan, then the ISO sales order show up for the ISO organization. Support duplicated this internally on environment as follows:

Item name = JMISOTest
Plan Name = JMISOMfg
Demand Org = M1 - Seattle
Supply Org = M2 - Boston

Plan Options includes both M1 and M2 organizations. Customer sales order in M1 shows up and so does ISO sales order # = 66525. Not using an MDS. Purely including sales orders for both organizations in the plan options

Plan name = JMTST

Plan Options include only M2 (ISO) organization. Include sales orders is enabled with no demand schedules. It doesn't matter if I use All Planned Items or Demand Schedule Items and All Sales Orders in the plan options. The ISO sales order does not show up. I did one more test where I Loaded the ISO Sales order in M2 to an MDS in M2. Verified the ISO sales order shows up and collected the data. Validated collected data show Sales Order MDS for my ISO sales order. Added the MDS demand schedule to Plan Name = JMTEST and disabled Include all sales orders and ran the plan again. Again the ISO sales order does not show up. Regular customer sales orders do not have this problem. Only ISO's

Customer in PROD has 12.1.1 APPS instance with single organization plans and the ISO's show up just fine. ASCP does show the sales order in msc_sales_orders and all data looks fine. But when the ISO sales order does not get picked up in the ASCP plan run, we verified it's not written to table msc_demands for the plan_id in question.

1. Setup Make item JMISOTest in M1 and M2 with 5 day lead time
2. Setup sourcing rule in M1 to XFR From M2 100% Rank 1
3. Add sourcing rule to an assignment set
4. Create customer sales order demand in M1
5. Run data collections
6. Run JMISOMfg plan and see planned orders for supply in M1 and M2
7. Release M1 planned order and generate IR
8. Create ISO in M2 based on IR
9. Run collections
10. See ISO sales order in collected data
11. Run JMISOMfg plan with both M1 and M2 and Customer sales order and ISO both show up (Include Sales orders both orgs)
12. Create plan JMTST with on M2 org and include all sales orders. Ran with All planned items and demand schedule items only but ISO does not show up
13. Created MDS in M2 and loaded all sales orders - verified ISO sales order shows up
14. Collect data and verify ISO shows up as Sales Order MDS
15. Attach MDS as demand schedule to JMTST, M2 only organization and disable Include Sales Orders
16. Plan run still does not show ISO sales order

Upgraded from 12.1.1 to for ASCP/VCP
