Error when Logging onto WAM: Error Checking if Cached Request Exists

Symptoms
If there is an unsuccessful login followed by a successful one, the homepage shows 'no data to display' in each of the sections and if you click on the application map, the following error is displayed:
The following error occurred during the attempt to display the page: Error checking if cached request exists (probably because you timed out and it doesn't exist).
Steps to Reproduce
Try to log into WAM by entering an incorrect password.
Now, Successfully log into WAM -'No Data to Display' shows on homepage.
Click on the Application Map icon -Cached Request Exists error is displayed
User must log out and back in again.
