Goal

The following questions involve the ability to update table indexes in an online mode as well as the direction for live indexing availability in future releases of ORS:

1. When is a suitable time to apply the index changes to the ORS database so that they do not impact the ORS application/website?

2. What impact would be caused while the tables are locked?

3. What is the impact of modifying the following tables to allow live indexing?: stop_shift_archive, drop index shift_date, drop depot_stop_shift_archive, drop stop_job.

4. Will the product provide the ability to do live indexing in the future?
