Unknown Error When Saving Metadata for Profitability Analytics (Doc ID 1381581.1)

Symptoms

For Oracle Financial Services Profitability Analytics (PFTBI), you are trying to complete a setup step in the Administration > Save Metadata screen.  After you select the metadata items and click on "Save", the following errors appear under "Show Details":

Business Type for Account Level Profitability [3829] Unknown error
Consolidation [3829] Unknown error
Currency [3829] Unknown error
Instrument Category [3829] Unknown error
Last Repricing Month [3829] Unknown error
Maturity Month [3829] Unknown error
Measure Hierarchy for FA [3829] Unknown error
Measure Hierarchy for Ledger [3829] Unknown error
Next Repricing Month [3829] Unknown error
Organisation Unit [3829] Unknown error
Origination Month [3829] Unknown error
PRODUCT [3829] Unknown error
Reporting Line for Account Level Profitability [3829] Unknown error
Reporting Line for Financial Accounting [3829] Unknown error
Reporting Line for Management Accounting [3829] Unknown error
Reporting Line in Reporting Currency [3829] Unknown error
Time [3829] Unknown error

Also, if you check the SMSService.log in $FIC_APP_HOME/common/FICServer/logs, you see the following error:

java.sql.SQLIntegrityConstraintViolationException: ORA-01400: cannot insert NULL into ("CONFIG"."METADATA_MASTER"."CREATION_DATE")

These errors prevent you from saving the metadata and completing the Profitability Analytics setup steps.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to Administration > Save Metadata
  2. Add all items from the left window to the right window
  3. Click on Save

The Unknown Error occurs.
