DM Not Connecting To DB During Installation: "Wrong ELF Class: ELFCLASS64" (Doc ID 1383885.1)

Symptoms

While running pin_setup script, got DM_ORACLE connect errors.

In dm_oracle.pinlog file, it logged:

E Mon Nov 7 18:55:05 2011 localhost dm:8276 dm_main.c(50):2661 1:localhost:dm:8273:-144811808:0:1320713705:0
  DM back end [0] dm_die: "ERROR bad dlopen for: "/opt/portal/7.4/sys/dm_oracle/dm_oracle11g.so": libclntsh.so.11.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64", errno 0



Not sure if 32 bits DB clients should be installed or not. There is no lib32 directory after installing the DB (DB and BRM are installed on same server). Linux is running on 64 bits.
