Reason Codes Default Values Not Showing On Screen

Symptoms

When a default value is specified for a reason code in the code list table, the default is not auto selected in the select box on the screen. For some, the first entry is selected and for others there is a blank line in the first position that is selected. This problem has been found with the PostVoidReasonCodes, PriceOverrideReasonCodes, ItemTaxAmountOverrideReasonCodes and ItemTaxRateOverrideReasonCodes.


Steps to Reproduce :

1. Modify the ID_LU_CD table so that there is a default selected for each of the following groups:

PostVoidReasonCodes
PriceOverrideReasonCodes
ItemTaxAmountOverrideReasonCodes
ItemTaxRateOverrideReasonCodes


Make sure that the default you choose is not the first in the list (specified by the CD_ENT_SRT column).

2. Modify the 'PosDataManager.xml file' to point the 'CodeListDataTransaction' to the RemoteDT.

This guarantees that the changes made in the database are caught for these tests. It is not strictly necessary but the client does cache the code list and getting it to refresh is difficult.

2. F5 Transaction
3. F8 Post Void
4. Enter a transaction number
5. The first item in the reason code list is selected

PriceOverrideReasonCodes

1. Login
2. Enter an Item
3. F8 Pricing
4. F2 Price Override
5. The reason code list is blank by default

ItemTaxAmountOverrideReasonCodes

1. Login
2. Enter an Item
3. F4 Item
4. F6 Tax
5. F3 Override Amt.
6. The first item in the reason code list is selected

ItemTaxRateOverrideReasonCodes

1. Login
2. Enter an Item
3. F4 Item
4. F6 Tax
5. F2 Override %
6. The first item in the reason code list is selected
