Delegated Administrator 7 - Support For IPv4 and IPv6 In Comms DIT (Doc ID 1386898.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 16, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Delegated Administrator - Version 7.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

This article discusses DA7 support for provisioning IPv4 and IPv6 values in LDAP entries, used in the Comms Suite DIT.

Scope

IPv4 is explicitly supported

Historically speaking, the schema guide does not state a specific internet protocol address format.  In this case, IPv4 in dotted quad notation is implicit.  In other words, you should assume that in places where an IP address is used, IPv4 addresses should and do work.

IPv6 interoperability

IPv6 addresses are not explicitly supported.  In other words, there are probably some scenarios where IPv6 works and others where it does not.  But, in situations where it does not work, this is usually due to a lack of support, not due to a specific exclusion to provide IPv4-only support.
