How to Use the Primavera Cumulative Feature Overview Tool (Doc ID 1389932.1)

The Cumulative Feature Overview Tool can be used to identify product features available to users and administrator when upgrading from any P6 EPPM or P6 Professional release to a newer one.  For example, if the currently installed P6 version is 18 and an upgrade to version 22 is being considered, any new features available since release 18 can be found by selecting 18 as the current release and 22 as the target release. 

This tool requires Microsoft Excel, with macros enabled.



To access the Cumulative Feature Overview Tool:

  1. Browse to the main product documentation page for either P6 EPPM or P6 Professional.
  2. Click the link for the desired target version (i.e. the one to be upgraded to).
  3. On the "Welcome" page click the link under How can I find out what is different between releases?; this will download an .xls file to the local computer.
  4. Open the downloaded file in Excel and follow the prompts.
Make sure to enable macros when prompted to do so, otherwise the Excel workbook will not function properly.  It may be necessary to adjust the Macro security level.
