How to diagnose the error "It is not possible to perform your request at this time. Try again later or contact technical support."

Symptoms

While performing some operation on IM console, sometimes user can get a message as follows

"It is not possible to perform your request at this time. Try again later or contact technical support."

To diagnose the reason for this error, you need to enable IM debug log.  (For more information refer to the section "References" at the end of this article.)

After putting the log in debug,  perform the same operation and look at the IM log under the <IM_HOME>/logs/<repository> directory and the IM wrapper log under <INQUIRA_HOME>/instances/<instance-name>

The log will have detailed information about the error for example:

com.webobjects.eoaccess.EOGeneralAdaptorException: EvaluateExpression failed: <com.webobjects.jdbcadaptor.OraclePlugIn$OracleExpression: "INSERT INTO USERROLE(ROLEID, USERID) VALUES (?, ?)" withBindings: 1:"0010482d64be011a949c2011007f5a"(roleID), 2:"04003182e9ccb0134897cf1a30078de"(userID)>:
Next exception:SQL State:60000 -- error code: 376 -- msg: ORA-00376: file 2 cannot be read at this time
ORA-01110: data file 2: '/nas/oradata/LIBRA/undotbs01.dbf'
