Warning message indicates that the GSAInvalidatorService is disabled (Doc ID 1394619.1)

Last updated on APRIL 01, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Commerce Platform - Version 9.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The warning message may be seen:

invalidateCaches called with global=true on an item-descriptor without cache-mode="distributed" and the GSAInvalidator service is disabled - not sending distributed events

Even though this is only a warning message, it is indicating a misconfiguration that can result in data inconsistency across a site due to stale data being held in repository cache. The mechanism that would have allowed the stale data to be cleared from cache is not fully operational.

The text in the warning message is slightly misleading. The name of the component is GSAInvalidatorService, not GSAInvalidator. Defect 13693185 has been logged to correct this wording.
