ORS Fails To Start With ProcessControl (PCD) Segmentation Fault (Doc ID 1396901.1)

Goal

In a recent Linux installation we are getting the following logging from the pcd process when trying to run: RELEASES/processControl-1.0.4/bin/linux/pcd config=etc/pcd.cfg

Log contains:
Log file for <processControl-1.0.4-linux>
pcd274 12/01/12 18:01:51.52 Starting processing initial process file...
pcd274 12/01/12 18:01:51.52 Caught signal 11
pcd274 12/01/12 18:01:51.52 Segmentation fault
pcd274 12/01/12 18:01:51.52 Attempting to flush all open files

How can this error be corrected?
