Stop Simulation Engine On Linux And Collaborator. Log Have Error

(Doc ID 1400780.1)

Last updated on MARCH 08, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Demantra Demand Management - Version 7.3.1 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

We are automating forecasting process. As part of automation first it stops simulation, then starts batch engine and then finally it starts simulation engine again.
Simulation is expected to continue to run for full week till next forecast cycle stops it again.
In between if Demantra is restarted and simulation is not started, then first step to stop simulation fails and workflow stops. It requires manual intervention to start batch engine and simulation.
So in case if simulation is not running and one tries to stop, it should not show any error, so the next step in workflow can be executed.

Error
======
When simulation engine is not running and workflow is executed to stop it. Below error is shown in log file and workflow shows status as "Filed_To_Execute". Due to this workflow need to be terminated.
