Symptoms

In Oracle Financial Services Analytical Applications (OFSAA) 7.2.10, when you add a new Task to an existing Batch, the new Task is not getting executed when you run the batch.

After running the batch, some of the "BATCH" tables in the Config schema only contain rows for the first Task.

For example:

BATCH_TASK_MASTER stores the batch definition and lists both the old and new Task:

V_BATCH_ID
V_TASK_ID
V_COMPONENT_ID
V_TASK_STATUS
OFSAAINFOD_TEST1
Task1
Transfer Pricing Engine
N
OFSAAINFOD_TEST1
Task2
Transfer Pricing Engine
N

However, BATCH_TASK, which stores data for the Batch execution results, only lists the old Task:

V_BATCH_ID
V_TASK_ID
V_COMPONENT_ID
V_TASK_STATUS
OFSAAINFOD_TEST1_20120127_3
Task1
Transfer Pricing Engine
S

There is no row for Task2 in this table after you execute the batch with the new Task.

The issue prevents you from adding new Tasks to existing batches.

Steps to Reproduce:
  1. Use OFSAA Infrastructure 7.2.10
  2. Go to Operations > Batch Maintenance
  3. Find an existing Batch
  4. Add a new Task to the Batch
  5. Run the Batch
The newly added Task is not executed.
