RDW Batches Fail With Database Connection Error: "IO Error: Connection Reset" When They Are Scheduled in Parallel (Doc ID 1415233.1)

With RDW 13.1/RETL 13.1 and DB, the batches fail with the below error when they are scheduled in parallel:

 Steps to Reproduce

1. Install Linux Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 5.5 (Tikanga);
2. Install Oracle Database;
3. Install Oracle Retail Data Warehouse 13.1.3;
4. Execute Batch.

Starting the threads
FATAL - retl 13.1.3 build 1758 (20.2-b06 :: Sun Microsystems Inc. :: i386 :: Linux :: 2.6.18-194.el5)

FATAL - E135: Exception in operator [oraread:3]
E415: Unable to obtain connection to database. (connectionstring="jdbc:oracle:thin:@",userid="rdwprd")
--- SQLException caught ---
java.sql.SQLRecoverableException: IO Error: Connection resetMessage: IO Error: Connection resetXOPEN SQL State: 08006
Database Vendor Driver/Source Error Code: 17002
