Convergence 2, Attachment Not Visible If Mime Header Has Content-Id (Doc ID 1420526.1)

Last updated on APRIL 25, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Communications Convergence - Version 2.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

This problem was reported on Convergence 2-3.01.

If a user receives an email with an attachment, where the MIME header of the attachment contains Content-id, then Convergence 2 does not display the attachment when the mail is selected to be read.

Example of MIME header:

Content-id: <151f559f-4a42-44e3-b33d-d059bf9222fa>
Content-transfer-encoding: base64
Content-disposition: attachment; filename=test1.docx; size=34819;
 creation-date="Thu, 24 Nov 2011 10:54:13 GMT";
 modification-date="Thu, 24 Nov 2011 10:54:13 GMT"
Content-description: test1.docx

The same message displays correctly in Convergence 1 patch 17, and Communications Express.

If the Content-id is removed (by manually editing the message file in the user's mailbox in the Messaging Server store), and then doing a reconstruct, Convergence 2 displays the attachment.
