The 'Margin Pct' Column at 'Price Point Hist' is Calculated with VAT and Must Without VAT (Doc ID 1422005.1)

Last updated on JULY 12, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Retail Merchandising System - Version 13.1.3.5 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

The "Margin Pct" column at "Price Point Hist" screen is calculated with  Value Added Tax (VAT), because the retail price must be without VAT at the margin calculation.

Steps To Reproduce:

  1. Select one item and do the search with all locations;
  2. Make the margin percentage calculation manually, considering the "Local Pricing Cost" and "Local Unit Retail", without taking out the VAT in the "Local Unit Retail"
  3. And you will see that you achieve the same percentage that is in the column "Margin Pct.", which is wrong, because this calculation must be without the VAT at the "Local Unit Retail".
