On 12.1.3 Constrained Planning in Test
Users are on 12.1.3 base apps and have applied 126.96.36.199 patch 10389190 with no one offs at this time. They are using 32 bit MSONEW MBP at this time. They are using EDD Constrained Classic Planning. Observed few exceptions Order Violates Busines Calendar. Looked in to the exception details, it shows calendar violation: Order Violates Supplier Capacity Calendar. For the issue item, we have not added any supplier capacity calendar nor is there even an ASL (approved supplier list) setup for this item. While dialed in during OWC I found two strange problems:
1. First problem we see planned order for buy item using 24x7 lead time calendar for processing lead tiem when there's no ASL setup for the item and profile MSC: Buy Order Processing Lead Time Calendar = Org Mfg calendar. This also throws an exception Order Violates Business Calendar and the detailed message shows Order Violates Supplier Capacity Calendar - there is no supplier capacity calendar setup and the profile is set to Org Mfg calendar anyway. Also there's no compression days on this order. Probably because it incorrectly used 24x7 calendar
2. Also with the planned orders they see problem where profiles:
MSO: Use Shift Definitions When Scheduling Lead Times = No
MSO: Avoid non working days for Buy/Transfer order dates = Yes
However they get some dates - either sugg order date, sugg start date, sugg dock date or sugg due date on non working day on 5 on 2 off calendar
Example item/data that exhibits both of the above:
pre proc = 1
proc = 45
post = 1
Mfg Cal is 5 on 2 off
Planned order has the following dates:
Sugg Order Date = 10-FEB-2012
Sugg Start Date = 11-FEB-2012 (This is a non working day and thus the exception is thrown
Sugg Dock Date = 27-MAR-2012 (There's no compression on this planned order it used 24x7 calendar to get 45 day processing time - this is not correct per profile setting aformentioned)
Sugg Due Date = 28-MAR-2012
So while the exception may be correct, the planning is not working as per the profile setup.
