ATG Search Does Not Index All Repository Items

Information in this document applies to any platform.
The ATG Search indexing job runs successfully and the generated index gets deployed to the search engine(s). After the job completes, users notice some items are not searchable. Looking at the indexing job in Index History, the number of items indexed are significantly lower than expected. The problem happens intermittently and does not happen every time indexing job is run.
